ll Haka Hikoi (Haka Walk)

This guided walk showcases a broad range of Maori experiences and links Tamaki Hikoi with the Auckland Museum’s cultural performance.

Expert guides from Ngati Whatua share stories and knowledge passed down through the generations to provide an engaging and intimate contemporary cultural experience. During your walk, your guide points out indigenous plants and herbs, explaining their historical, medicinal and culinary use.

Guides will then escort you to enjoy the Maori performing arts concert presented by Auckland Museum’s performing group Haka the Legend.  The performance showcases action songs, poi dance, and New Zealand’s cultural icon, the haka.
